Frequently Asked Questions
1. General Questions:
Parcel724 is a peer-to-peer delivery platform that connects senders with verified travelers who are already planning trips to your parcel’s destination. This allows people to send packages affordably and efficiently by leveraging travelers’ existing travel routes.
Parcel724 works in three main steps:
Post your travel or delivery request. Travelers list the trips they’re taking and senders list parcels that need to be delivered.
Connect with a match. The platform securely matches senders with travelers heading to the same destination.
Coordinate delivery. Once you agree on price and details through the platform, the traveler carries the package and delivers it to the recipient at the destination.
Yes. Parcel724 verifies users and provides a secure messaging system so senders and travelers can communicate and agree on terms safely. All arrangements happen through the platform to protect both parties.
You can generally send everyday items such as documents, clothing, books, and electronics. Certain items may be prohibited due to safety, legal, or airline restrictions—check prohibited item guidelines for each destination before posting a request.
Create an account, fill in your profile, and then either list a parcel you want sent or post your upcoming travel route. Once matched, use our platform messaging to coordinate details.
2. Traveler (Carrier) Questions
As a traveler, you list your upcoming trip details (origin, destination, dates, and capacity you have available). If a sender has a parcel that matches your route, you can connect and agree on compensation for carrying the item. You then deliver the parcel to the recipient when you arrive at your destination.
After creating your account, go to the “I am traveler” section, enter your route and travel dates, and submit your details. Your route becomes visible to everyone and senders with matching delivery needs.
Payment is negotiated directly between you and the sender on the platform. You and the sender agree on a fair price before confirming the delivery arrangement.
Travelers are expected to handle parcels carefully and deliver them as agreed. You should verify sender instructions, respect local laws regarding the items you carry, and keep communication transparent throughout the process.
Yes. While Parcel724 itself does not operate formal courier tracking, travelers provide status updates through the platform messaging so senders are informed of the parcel’s progress.
3. Parcel Sender Questions
Parcel senders post a delivery request by entering details about the parcel (type, weight, origin, destination, and desired timing). The system matches you with a traveler heading to the same location. You then communicate and agree on delivery price and handover arrangements.
Many users report savings of 50% to 70% or more compared to traditional courier services, depending on route, parcel size, and weight. Actual savings vary by match.
Yes. Parcel724 provides a secure in-platform messaging system so you can ask questions, clarify details, and confirm expectations before making an agreement.
Senders are responsible for understanding and complying with customs regulations for international deliveries. Parcel724 does not handle customs clearance or tax payments. Verify any customs requirements before arranging delivery.
Parcel724 currently does not provide insurance. If you are shipping valuable or fragile items, consider arranging insurance separately through a third-party provider.
4. Payments & Pricing
Payments are agreed directly between sender and traveler. The platform facilitates secure communication but does not process payment itself. Confirm payment terms before concluding an agreement.
Parcel724 offers a free listing allowance: the first two traveler trip listings or two parcel sender listings are provided at no cost during your first one-year period after account registration. After those initial free listings, or after the first year, users who want to post additional listings must purchase a subscription plan. Subscription details, pricing, and benefits are available on the subscription page.
5. Safety & Verification
Users are verified via email and platform verification protocols. Travelers and senders should also communicate and review any available user feedback before finalizing arrangements.
Prohibited items include dangerous goods, illegal items, and any restricted materials that breach airline or destination regulations. Review the full prohibited list before posting.
